Physiotherapist Sam Mayes has developed a keen interest in sporting and musculoskeletal injury management and rehabilitation, after long term participation in athletics, football and tennis.
Sam Mayes is currently working with the Collingwood Football Club (VFL) as the match day Physiotherapist, after formerly spending 3 seasons with the Pakenham Football Club (SEFNL); and being the attending physio for the South Eastern Football Netball Inter-League teams (formerly CCFNL) for 3 years.
Sam consults at Physioworks Cranbourne and Pakenham clinics. He has completed Clinical Pilates Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates with Dance Medicine Australia, and conducts clinical pilates classes regularly at both clinics.
Sam completed an undergraduate clinical placement at Physioworks Health Group in 2010 and commenced full time practice at Physioworks Health Group Cranbourne in 2011. He is now a Clinical Educator for Monash University, mentoring 4th year students through their clinical placements.
Sam Mayes completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University. Sam is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and an active member of the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia group.
Outside of Physiotherapy, Sam is a keen tennis player and golfer, enjoys spending time at the beach and planning his next travel adventure.
