Physiotherapist Nathan Monaco has a passion for rehabilitation of musculoskeletal & sports injuries, and endeavours to empower his physiotherapy patients to make active lifestyle changes to facilitate their recovery.
An accredited Strength & Conditioning (S&C) Coach through the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association (ASCA), Nathan Monaco is providing his S&C and physiotherapy skills to support the Casey Basketball Association, including being the training & home match day physiotherapist to the elite Casey Cavaliers teams in the NBL1 Basketball season.
One specific area of interest for Nathan is athletic groin pain, having formerly completed his Masters of Physiotherapy project on this topic; and he has completed further education courses on the hip & groin.
A second area of interest for Nathan is youth athletic development. Having worked as a Physiotherapist and S&C Coach, Nathan gained valuable experience in the implementation of injury prevention and strength & conditioning programs for both junior & senior National Premier League athletes at Nunawading FC.
Having sustained a variety of injuries playing competitive basketball & football, Nathan is very familiar & empathetic to the ups & downs that occur as part of the rehabilitation process. Nathan aspires to use a collaborative approach with his patients, to help meet specific goals & ensure his patients get back to doing what they love most.
In his downtime, Nathan loves exploring the outdoors, hiking & camping (if you have any secret spots let him know) and maintaining a fit & active lifestyle at the gym.
