The gloves are off again this week at the Physioworks Health Group Cranbourne.

Physioworks Health Group physiotherapists Scott Williams and Paul Kemel are the “opposing” physio’s in the 2016 South East Football Netball League (SEFNL) Grand Final on Saturday between Cranbourne Football Netball Club (Scott) and Berwick FC (Paul), in a replay of last year’s premiership decider.

This year, both club’s will fight it out for the SEFNL flags in the Senior’s and Reserve Grade – an outstanding achievement by both clubs – but meaning a long and really busy day for the physio team and the trainers of both clubs.

Physioworks Health Group is the exclusive allied health care partner to the SEFNL, and our physiotherapy team are again supporting the competing clubs in the training lead up and on Grand Final day.

Physiotherapist Paul Kemel, who is also consulting at our new Physioworks Berwick clinic @ P3 Sports and Recovery, is quietly confident that Berwick can go back-to-back despite having to play in the Preliminary Final this year to reach the Grand Final.

“The Berwick boys had a big win in the prelim, so now it is all about their recovery and preparation; so I think we will be in good shape to again grab the flag” said Paul.

Sports Physiotherapist Scott Williams is equally sure that 2016 will be the “Year of the Eagle”. “Winning the second semi and having the week off at this time of year is ideal preparation for the Cranbourne boys – so I’m confident we can have the last laugh this year” said Scott.

May the best team – and physio – win! Best wishes to both clubs for injury free games for all players – and our physios!
