2013 marks a significant business milestone for Waverley Park Physiotherapy Centre (WPCC)
Since 1988, WPPC has been providing quality health care services to Mulgrave and surrounding local communities.
It is 25 years since the clinic was opened in Police Road providing general physiotherapy services.
Since this time, the current Police Rd medical precinct in and around WPPC has grown, while WPPC has extensively developed its practice facilities and range of health care services under the guidance of WPPC Director and Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Andrew Dalwood.
WPPC now offers Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy, Occupational/Industrial Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, and Podiatry and also Clinical Pilates which is performed in the customised gym, purpose built onsite in 2009.
Professional development including ongoing education and training of practitioners to ensure the latest treatment health care treatments and techniques has been a hallmark feature of WPPC. As an example, Andrew Dalwood now holds the highest physiotherapy qualification, one of only 8 physiotherapists practising in Victoria as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists.
A member of Australian Physiotherapy Association since 1988, WPPC has been accredited since 1999 under the QIP/AGPAL process. The clinic successfully achieved re-accreditation in June 2009 for the third time, enhancing our commitment to the highest standard of quality care.
In 2011 WPPC became part of the Physioworks Health Group (Physioworks Health Group) providing patients with access to extended specialist resources.
While there has been much change over 25 years, one constant at WPPC is the ever smiling face of Robyn Cameron at reception ensuring all WPPC patients a reassuring, familiar and friendly welcome to the practice.
In supporting local sporting clubs, such as Monash University Soccer Club, Waverley Park Hawks and Northvale Football & Netball Club, and committing to Industrial Physiotherapy providing onsite health services to the workers in local companies such as PPG Industries, Amcor Beverage Cans and CSR Bradford, WPPC has developed long term rewarding community relationships.
“Our business longevity is testament to our service commitment to the community” said Andrew Dalwood. “It is very rewarding to have developed a health care practice in a community which has shown long term loyalty to myself and the team over 25 years at WPPC. We thank all for your ongoing support…..and we hope to be looking after our patients for many more years to come”
